Netball Central Zone, in collaboration with Netball Wellington Centre, is excited to provide two innovative learning opportunities for Community Coaches. These are being held during the Zone’s upcoming Super Tourney on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th of September.
From 10:30am to 1pm on both days, coaches will have the opportunity to observe pool games and finals matches while also gaining accreditation for part of Netball New Zealand’s Level 2 Community Coach Award:
Circle Work facilitated by Karen Bevan
- understand the basic fundamentals for Attack and Defence in the Goal Circle
- observe and analyse Goal Circle skills and tactics in action
- create and modify training activities that will help shooters create scoring opportunities and assist defenders to create turnovers and gain possession
Game Analysis facilitated by Kylie Tuffery
- create easy methods to collect data – team, units and individual
- observe and analyze game play
- learn how to collate and analyze game statistics
- develop game plans and team talks
