Netball Northern Zone are excited to announce the appointment of two experienced coaches to the roles of Head Coach and Assistant Coach for the Northern Marvels next season. Ripeka Pirie has been appointed Head Coach with Melissa Bessell joining her as Assistant Coach.
With six from the Zone included, Netball Central players feature strongly in the recently-named 16-strong NZ U21 squad, the focus now firmly set towards the 2025 Netball World Youth Cup.
After a career working in the public sector in health and education, Sarah Boyes has made the transition into sport with her recent appointment as CEO of Netball Central Zone.
On Sunday 17th August 2023, Netball Rotorua Centre hosted our annual Netball Waikato Bay of Plenty Zone Secondary School Tournament. It was a fantastic day of netball, where school teams were able to compete against other schools from across the Zone and prepare for the upcoming Upper North Island Secondary Schools (UNISS) tournament later this month.
