A quartet of Netball Central’s rising young talent has been selected in the New Zealand Secondary Schools (NZSS) team to tour Australia in June.

WBOP travelled to Auckland to take on the Northern Marvels on Sunday. The team had their Captains Run at Netball Waitakere where they were paid a surprise visit from the AVIS Magic team who came in to sing happy birthday to Reeghan de Bono who turned 21 on Sunday. The team then went over to Trusts Arena to get ready for the match.

After three weekends in a row flying around the countryside it was great to see WBOP play back in front of a home crowd at Trustpower Arena in Mount Maunganui. The girls arrived to the stadium on Sunday morning for their Captains Run beginning preparations leading into the game at 2pm. There was a massive crowd that came to watch who were very vocal which was amazing to see.

After dipping to their first loss, a week off has given Central Manawa the opportunity to reset and reload heading towards the pointy end of the Synergy Hair Netball League (NNL).

It was another quick trip for WBOP to the South Island over the weekend. As the team got off the plane they noticed the drop in temperature. The team settled into their accommodation and headed out for an Italian dinner. On Sunday the team went to the Botanical Gardens for a hot coffee and a stroll before heading to the stadium.

The Waikato Bay of Plenty team arrived at Wellington Airport at 3.30pm on Saturday 1st April. After an exciting descent the girls were grateful to be back on the ground. The team made their way to Porirua to settle into the motel and get prepared for their captains run that evening.
