Our Northern Marvels team play in the National Netball League (NNL) and are Netball Northern’s development team to the Northern Mystics.
The National Netball League is fundamental to strengthening Netball New Zealand’s performance pathway for
new talent. Starting in April each year, the six competing teams go head-to-head in the 11-round National
Netball League competition.

Within our geographical zone, there are two NNL teams – the Northern Marvels and the Northern Comets. The Northern Comets are governed and operate under the Northern Stars. The Northern Marvels are governed and operate under the Northern Mystics and Netball Northern Zone.

After a robust process Netball WBOP in conjunction with Netball NZ are pleased to announce Te Aroha Keenan is the Synergy Hair National Netball League Head Coach for the 2023 season.
Former top-tier players, Renee Matoe and Cushla Lichtwark will be part of an exciting new-look coaching trio after being appointed assistant coaches for defending champions Central Manawa in next year’s National Netball League (NNL).

It was her Mum that modelled how to be an amazing coach and Kimiora Insley has taken it full circle coaching others and thriving in numerous voluntary roles - firstly in Taumarunui and then at Rotorua Netball Centre.
