Netball Central Zone is looking for someone to lead and support our community netball team. This role is all about relationships, building strong connections with our Centres, guiding a capable team, and making sure community netball is thriving across our Zone.

The role has a strong focus on capability, working alongside Centre leaders, supporting strategic alignment with Poipoia, the strategy of Netball in New Zealand, and ensuring great netball experiences for players, coaches, umpires and volunteers.

You'll be managing a small, passionate team covering participation, coaching, umpiring and talent development, and helping drive the delivery of both regional and national initiatives. You won't be doing all the programmes yourself, but you will be making sure the right people are supported to deliver them well.

We're after someone who:

  • Has experience working in community sport (ideally 3+ years)
  • Understands what Centres need, and how to support them effectively
  • Is confident leading people, setting direction, and solving problems
  • Communicates well and builds trust easily
  • Genuinely cares about growing the game and making it better for everyone involved

This is a full-time role, based at Ākau Tangi Sports Centre in Kilbirnie, with some flexibility around working hours. Travel around the Zone will be required from time to time.

If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
