The most promising young shooters from across the Netball Central Zone are being given the opportunity to learn from the very best with the launch of the Suzuki Shooting Clinics.

Netball Central Zone (NCZ) selectors have invited 33 leading secondary school players from across the zone to a Talent Development Camp to be held in Palmerston North on 13th December 2014. Four Cluster Development Days were recently held in Hawke’s Bay, Manawatu, Taranaki and Wellington.

Netball Central Zone will have a strong representation in Netball New Zealand’s National Umpire Squads during 2015, with four representatives being named in both the National Squad and the National Development Squad.

Central Pulse Team Manager Jo Holmes has received an international call-up, with selection as Team Manager of the 2014 FAST5 Ferns, who are looking to retain the world title they have held since 2012.

Paul Smith and Bubs Rewiti from Netball Wellington Centre (NWC) were awarded Official of the Year and Coach of the Year respectively in this year’s National New World Volunteer Awards.

With preparations in full swing for the 2015 ANZ Championship, the Central Pulse has made another significant signing with the appointment of Tracey Dulieu-Parlane as the new Partnership and Sponsorship Manager.

Netball Central Zone will be holding the first of a new series of Netball Fun Days on 1st October at Vautier Park in Palmerston North. The Fun Day is designed to give young players a taste of Netball New Zealand’s new Junior Netball Programme which is currently being introduced by Netball Centres nationwide.

 The Haier Pulse will once again face the reigning champions in the first round of the ANZ Championship, with a trip to Melbourne to take on the Vixens on 1 March
