Auckland Region Netball Facility Plan 2024

In May 2024, Netball Northern released the Auckland Region Netball Facility Plan 2024.

Initiated through the Auckland Region Facilities Working Group, the plan was formulated by Visitor Solutions Ltd with input from Auckland Council, Aktive and netball centres within the Auckland Region.

The Plan works to identify the current and future demand for Auckland Region netball courts, and outlines our priorities for netball facility investment over the next ten years.

By providing robust analysis, the Plan acts as a collective voice, and supports our netball centres when working with local boards, funders and communities.

The plan focuses on;

  • the right number of courts in the right places,
  • fit for purpose court surfaces and playing environments, and
  • sustainable ownership models for each centre.

This plan comes after the Auckland Region Netball Facility Plan 2015 which was successful in supporting the delivery of $5 million investment into Auckland Region netball facilities.
