Thank you to Lynette Brady (Netball North Harbour), Jill Clapcott (NZSS Manager) and Chris Tennant (Mystics Manager) for giving their time to come and chat to the managers.

Marketing and Communications

Tash Osborne (Marketing and Communications Manager) this month we are proud to see our new Netball Northern Zone Website go live this week. www.netballnorthern.co.nz .
We are adding to this daily, and thank you to those who are sending me in Tournament Flyers, or key dates you would like advertised on the site.
The aim is for the website to be the “hub” of all things netball in our zone, so please feel free to send me through your information.
Along with the website, we have a Northern Zone Facebook Page http://www.facebook.com/netballnorthernzone, again would be great if centres could “like” the page, which would enable me to share and promote your centres activities and news.

  • Mystics Facebook 8063 fans, up from 7950 last month

  • Mystics online magazine “Mystics Nation” generating $1000 per month from advertising

  • Mystics 2014 Membership planning in process

  • Northern Zone – Website live / Facebook page 357 up from 225 last month

  • Northern Zone 2013/2014 marketing plan drafted

So another busy month, but with some great progress being made in all areas. Our Under 23 Teams have been selected, dresses designed, and trainings underway as they build up to the main competition in July.
It will be great to see how the teams perform this weekend in Tauranga for their first hit-out. It is fantastic to see young talent on display and structures and processes starting to get underway for the long term aim of high performance development being available for such talent. It’s also a busy time now with the LG Mystics 2013 season coming to a close. We are undertaking our usual full review of the team, players, and organisation over the next few weeks. It has most certainly been a challenging and difficult season for all involved, and while our on-court results have been disappointing, we have been able to take some really positive elements out of this season that will help put us in a good place moving in to 2014. We are also in the process of getting out to the centres to present the Zone strategic plan, so hope to see as many of you as possible over the next few weeks.
Thank you for taking the time to catch up on the Zone news - if you have any feedback or would like more (or less!) information, please let us know!

Kind Regards
Julie Paterson – CEO Netball Northern Zone
